The exact tools that help me edit video, research keywords, design thumbnails, and publish content without burning out
If you're spending hours on content creation and wondering if there's a better way — there absolutely is. I'm Patricia Kelikani, an Emmy Award winner who helps entrepreneurs use video and AI to grow their businesses without burning out, and in this post I'm pulling back the curtain on my favorite AI tools for content creation that I actually use every single week. I walk you through everything step by step in the video below!
Watch the Video Below:
Tool #1
Claude — Where My Business Brain Lives
This is the tool I genuinely could not run my business without. What makes Claude so powerful for me is something I created called a Playbook — basically a document with every single piece of information about my business and personal brand. I turned that Playbook into a Skill inside Claude, which means every time I open a new chat or project, Claude already knows everything about my brand automatically. No uploading, no repeating yourself — it just knows. On top of that, Claude connects directly to Canva, my Gmail, my calendar, and even tools like VidIQ and Kit through MCP integrations. As an Emmy Award winner who has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs build video systems, I can honestly say this level of personalized AI assistance is a game changer.
If you want to learn more about why I made the switch to Claude, I actually have a full video on that — check it out right here. And you can try Claude yourself using my link here.
Okay, now here's a tool that might surprise you given that I already use Claude...
Tool #2
ChatGPT — My Secret Weapon for YouTube Thumbnails
I know what you're thinking — why use ChatGPT when I already have Claude? Two big reasons. First, I love bouncing ideas, scripts, and concepts back and forth between both tools to get different perspectives. But the main reason I keep ChatGPT in my weekly rotation right now? It is an absolutely incredible designer, especially for YouTube thumbnails. The thumbnail for this very video was created by ChatGPT — and so were the last several thumbnails on my channel. The results are genuinely impressive, and I'm planning a dedicated video just on this topic so stay tuned for that!
Speaking of video editing — the next tool is one of my absolute favorites, and I get genuinely excited every time I talk about it.
Tool #3
Descript — The Video Editor That Changed Everything
Descript is a video and podcast editing tool unlike anything else out there — and as someone with an Emmy Award background in video, that is not something I say lightly. Here's the magic: you upload your raw video, it transcribes it automatically, and then you edit your video simply by editing the text. Delete a sentence in the transcript and that part of the video disappears. It is so intuitive, especially if you're not a professional editor. Built right inside Descript is an AI co-editor called Underlord, which can remove filler words, clean up audio with studio sound, add captions, add B-roll, and even create short clips from your long-form video — all in plain language.
But here's the part not a lot of people are talking about yet. Descript now has an MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration, which means you can connect Descript directly to Claude or ChatGPT. That means you can literally tell Claude: "Take this video, remove filler words, add captions, and create three short clips from the best moments" — and it just does it, right from your Claude chat. No switching apps. No manual editing. That integration is a total game changer for your AI content workflow, and I'll have a full YouTube video explaining it in more detail soon. You can try Descript for free using the link below!

Tool #4
Captions.ai — The Tool That Frosts Your Video Cake
Okay I love this analogy — using Captions.ai is like frosting a cake. You upload your short-form talking head video, pick a template, and within a minute or two it automatically adds motion graphics and animations that make your Reels and Shorts look incredibly engaging. I've tested this firsthand and my short-form videos that Captions.ai dresses up consistently get more views and more engagement. Beyond the auto-editing magic, Captions.ai has a whole suite of other AI features too. But honestly, that one feature alone is worth it.
Now let's talk strategy — because creating great content is only half the battle. You also need to know if the right people are actually finding it.
Tool #5
VidIQ — How I Run My Entire YouTube Strategy
VidIQ is my go-to YouTube analytics and optimization tool, and my favorite feature is the keyword research. I can look up a keyword like "AI tools for content creation" — this very video's keyword — and instantly see how many people are searching it, how many videos are targeting it, and whether it's actually worth my time to create. In my experience working with hundreds of entrepreneurs on video strategy, skipping keyword research is one of the biggest mistakes people make. VidIQ also shows me trending videos in my niche right now, which is incredibly useful for content planning. Plus it has AI tools for thumbnail creation, Shorts generation from long-form videos, and even AI-generated video creation.
And now for the tool that quietly ties everything together behind the scenes...
Tool #6
Make.com — The Automation Engine Behind My Content System
Make.com is my automation platform and honestly the most underrated tool on this list. It's the behind-the-scenes engine that connects all my other tools and makes my entire content system run on autopilot. Here's a real example of what I mean: every time I publish a new YouTube video, the AI automation I built inside Make.com automatically takes the transcript, sends it to Claude to write a blog post, publishes that post as a draft to my WordPress site, AND creates an email broadcast draft inside Kit — my email platform. All of that happens automatically while I'm doing other things. I literally just upload my video to YouTube and the whole system kicks into gear. The best part? You can actually do a lot on Make.com's free plan, so there's no reason not to start.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between Claude and ChatGPT for content creation?
Great question — and I use both! Claude is my primary content brain because of the Skills feature, which means I can store my entire business Playbook and Claude automatically knows my brand in every single chat. ChatGPT is brilliant for visual design work right now, especially creating YouTube thumbnails. Using both together gives me stronger, more well-rounded results than either one alone.
Do I need to be tech-savvy to use these AI tools?
Not at all! That's exactly why I love recommending tools like Descript — you edit video by editing text, which means anyone can do it. And Make.com has a free plan that's totally beginner-friendly. My free training at lucrativevideos.com/ai-video-training walks you through exactly how to start building your own AI content system step by step, even if you're starting from scratch.
How much does it cost to use all six of these AI tools?
Several of these tools have free plans or free trials — including Descript, Make.com, and VidIQ. Claude and ChatGPT both have free tiers as well. I personally invest in paid plans because I use them daily in my business, but you can absolutely start for free and upgrade as you grow. I only recommend tools I actually use and pay for myself, so you can trust these are worth the investment.
Here's the bottom line: you don't need to work harder to create more content — you need smarter tools working with you. I've seen this combination of Claude, ChatGPT, Descript, Captions.ai, VidIQ, and Make.com transform how entrepreneurs show up online, and I'm living proof that it works. Start with one tool, get comfortable, and build from there.
